Information we may collect

The information Amaedo receives depends on how you interact with the service.

• Contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, and preferred way to communicate.
• Gift-request information, including the recipient, your relationship, the occasion, timing, budget, preferences, meaningful details, and any ideas or constraints you choose to share.
• Transaction and fulfillment information, such as approvals, purchase records, personalization instructions, delivery details, and communications about a request. Full payment-card details should be provided only through an authorized payment provider if one is used, not through ordinary messages.
• Site and device information. Vercel hosts this site and provides Web Analytics. Vercel may process technical request information to deliver and protect the site. Its analytics service records anonymous data points such as page path, referrer, approximate location, browser, operating system, device type, and timestamp.

How Amaedo uses information

Amaedo may use personal information to:

• respond to inquiries and understand a gift request;
• research, recommend, purchase, personalize, wrap, and coordinate an approved gift;
• communicate about options, approvals, timing, costs, delivery, and support;
• maintain business and transaction records, prevent misuse, and protect the service; and
• comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

When information may be shared

Amaedo shares personal information only as reasonably necessary for the service or another purpose described in this policy. That may include sharing limited information with:

• retailers, makers, personalization specialists, packaging providers, and delivery carriers involved in an approved request;
• Vercel and, if used, other providers that support email, forms, file storage, payments, and related business operations;
• professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or address fraud or misuse; and
• a successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the business.

Amaedo does not use information collected through this site to sell personal information or support behavioral advertising.

Information about gift recipients

A gift request may include information about another person. Please share only what is relevant and what you are comfortable providing. Delivery addresses and other sensitive fulfillment details can be provided later, once a direction has been approved and the information is actually needed. Amaedo will not keep recipient profiles, addresses, preferences, or occasion calendars for future gifts unless the client gives permission or the information must be retained for an appropriate business or legal record.

Retention

Amaedo keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably needed to manage the request, maintain appropriate business records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Information that is no longer needed may be deleted or de-identified.

Security

Amaedo takes reasonable steps intended to limit access to personal information and protect it from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please do not send full payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, detailed diagnoses, medical records, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary messages. If a dietary or allergy constraint matters to a gift, share only the minimum information needed to address it.

Cookies and advertising

Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and reports anonymous, aggregate traffic data rather than tracking visitors across different days or websites. Amaedo does not currently place advertising cookies on this site or use behavioral advertising. Essential hosting, security, and network technologies may still be used to operate and protect the site. If Amaedo later adds other technologies that materially change these practices, this policy will be updated.

Children

This site and service are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. Adults submitting a request for a child recipient should provide only the information reasonably necessary for the gift.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information. You may ask Amaedo to access, correct, or delete information connected with your request, subject to applicable exceptions. Because Amaedo currently accepts requests through direct introductions, please make a privacy request through the same Amaedo contact you used for your gift request.

Stories and testimonials

Amaedo will not publish a client's or recipient's identifying details as a story or testimonial without appropriate permission. Details may be edited or omitted to preserve privacy and discretion.

Third-party links

This site may link to retailers, makers, or other third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

Changes to this policy

Amaedo may update this policy as the service and its tools develop. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
